I knew something was amiss when I found myself agreeing with Bill Maher last night as he teed off on culture of cancel that has metastasized into a cancer of pervasive censorship. No one is safe from the mob and no thought—no matter how old or relevant to one’s current mindset—is off limits when it comes to dredging up bygone mistakes and current slipups to invalidate someone’s voice. What has been taking place on the fringes is now the new norm; celebrities and civilians alike are apt to be silenced if they commit the sin of speaking out of turn.
Forget common sense and thick skins, we are now being run by a collective of snowflakes and fascists who insist on limiting expression, restricting emotions and curbing opinions. It’s like we are living in East Germany with the Stasi firmly in control; distrust is pervasive as we are encouraged to turn on each other and conditioned to whip anyone who strays from acceptable narratives back into their lanes. We are so mired down the rabbit holes of speech elimination and news manipulation that Orwell would be thrown for a loss if he was to write a book about 2021.

The enemies of the First Amendment reside on all sides; you have fascists like Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio arguing for media litmus tests from the right while malicious frauds like AOC and Pelosi are trying their hardest to usher in a new age of McCarthyism from the left. The victims are lady liberty and the few freedoms we have left; everyday the establishment are steadily chipping away at our rights as they normalize a corporate-state totalitarianisms that is stripping us of our agencies.
You have to understand the outrage over the supposed “insurrection” through this prism; by manufacturing bogeymen in the form of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, Democrats and Republicans alike are in the process of implementing a soft form of totalitarianism that will incrementally eat away at our power and leave us impotent as a people. They are doing this by applying scalpels instead of deploying machetes; bit by bit—community by community—they are eroding our civil liberties. Though this cancel first and ask questions later is driven by the debased (you know I don’t call them “elites” anymore), it is being powered by the obsequiousness of the benighted proletariat.
Two weeks ago, Convo Couch, an online news show run featuring Craig Pasta and Fiorella Isabel, was demonetized by YouTube and their reach restricted. Of course, YouTube referred to their amorphous user agreement as a means to severely restrict Craig and Fiorella’s presence. The same thing happened to Niko House not too long ago, they started by suppressing “the right”, they are now going after everyone else. Meanwhile, mainstream media voices who are actively encouraging violence and dangerously inciting angers are left free to continue spewing their drivel. This unholy intersection of media, government and corporations are working together to banish free thinkers and truth-seekers into the shadows while rewarding yellow journalism.
Unwittingly, and cravenly, we are allowing this culture of self-nullification to fritter away at the very freedoms we take for granted. Social media posts from decades ago can come back and haunt us and a picture from our youth could be the basis on which we are fired. The pestilences we are unleashing at others are creeping at our doors; America has transformed into a Mexican standoff where each bullet of silence begets a bullet of suppression.
Recently, Emmanuel Cafferty, a San Diego Gas and Electric employee was fired from his job as a general electrician because he posted a picture online of what someone deemed to be a hand gesture of “white supremacy”. Never mind that this latest victim of a cancel culture run amok was Mexican, what mattered was that he was drummed out of a job because some professional pearl-clutcher was offended. News of these types of punishments being meted out for doing anything that diverges from “community standards” are so commonplace that we must now undergo risk mitigations before positing our ideas publicly.
Last week, Naomi Wolf was suspended by Twitter because she had the audacity to do her job and report about nanotechnology that Moderna is using as part of their experimental mRNA “vaccines”. In another era, Naomi’s efforts would have been rewarded but in the age of omnipresent mind and media control, she is treated like a pariah. Opinion leaders who are entrusted with blue checks and paychecks are expected to toe the lines at all times; they are given wide-latitude to incite and exploit but if they dare to agitate on behalf of inclusive justice, they are quickly dealt with by way of bullets or scandals. A day later, Naomi was deplatformed from YouTube; a one-two punch by two social media giants that served to extinguish her voice and give notice to anyone else who dares to follow in her footsteps.
Where this is headed is pretty predictable; we are quickening the pace to despotism from a jog into a sprint. There is a reason for this level of onerous censorship, the ruling class are consolidating power and making it impossible for anyone to question their tactics. In a matter of months, the little freedoms we have left will be eradicated. The cancel culture that we refuse to stand our ground against has turned into a revocation cancer that is feasting upon our individual and collective rights. #CancelCancers Click To Tweet
