Fourth Criminal Bench of the federal high court denied Bekele Gerba, one of the leadership of Oromo Federalist Congress, bail right.
He was initially charged with terrorism charges but court relegated it recently to a criminal case.
He told the court that he is not surprised that he is denied bail, reported VOA Amharic. It is something, added Bekele, I was expecting.
Ato Abdu Jabar Hussien, one of Bekele Gerba’s lawyers, told VOA that they are planning to appeal the verdict.
