Though I like to think of myself as a hopeful soldier of love and a defiant rebel with a cause, if you strip away the bravado and the tenacity imbued by a faith that will not let me give up, I am emotionally and physically spent. The little sleep I get is a respite that never lasts; the minute I wake up, I feel compelled and convicted to get back on the horse and charge once more into the breach. Except this breach is taking its toll; I am not sure how many more strikes of the hammer I have left in me—I am nearing my tipping point.
What I am fighting for seems amorphous and unreachable; I am grasping at waters that keep slipping through my fingers. I’m advocating for unity that transcends our differences, really I am preaching against tribalism. But these things, the herd mentality that drives many to group think and the gang-like behaviors that are truly the root of injustice, are part and parcel of the human experience. We can’t help but be totemic; we gravitate towards those who look, think and speak like us because we believe they are sources of survival.
I say no to tribalism, it starts with me. I can't let us be divided along tribal lines, I will play my part and speak out against it before it destroys us. One love 🇺🇬, together we can #SayNoToTribalism

But that which we lean on to survive has become our collective crucible; our tribal instincts have become an albatross our necks that keep us mired in woes. The more we fight based on our differences, the more people who have hidden agendas and a few who rule through a mix of brute force and cunning politics are able to divide and have dominion over us. The only way to overcome centuries of oppression is to unite beyond the caste systems of race, gender, religion and ideologies that have been bred into us from the time of Babylon. We have to look within to find the true source of our power then reach without in order to connect with others based on our commonalities of pain that transcend our divergences.
The reality is that race is inconsequential, gender is insignificant, religion is trivial and ideologies are immaterial when it comes to suffering that spans the social and global divides. Humanity is one when it comes to adversities; on our collective backs is built a planetary pyramid scheme that transfers wealth from the bottom 90% in order to enrich the globalist aristocracy. While we fight over crumbs and bicker over skin color, dogmas and ethnicities, we are all getting bled by a system that is so wicked that it escapes our line of sight and blurs into the shadows. Public serpents who pretend to be servants do the bidding of plutocrats who weaponize their cash in order to rule through deception and dichotomies; we are being governed without consent and “democracy” has become Plymouth Rock that have colonized our minds.
We are nearing a tipping point; in short order we will either witness the decimation of humanity or the rebellion of the proletarian. We are nose deep in waters that are simmering and about to start boiling, if we do not hop out of the pot soon enough, we shall be broiled alive. I am not trying to be an alarmist over here; I would rather bury my head in the sand and pretend like all will be OK and that justice will win out in the end. But I cannot feign to be hopeful when all about me I see signs of an oncoming disaster. So I take to the streets in DC and scream into the internet to ring the bell in hopes of reaching those who are not too far gone in order to start a rebellion of the soul.
To my fellow Ethiopians, stop fighting over ethnicities and believe in humanity above tribe. To my fellow Africans and African-Americans, the time to liberate yourself is now and it will not be the “white” man who will free you from generational enslavement. To my fellow Europeans, it is time to stop thinking that you are different and reject a label that was always meant to splinter, “white” is an artificial construct meant to cleave you apart from us. Instead, reach across the rift in order to join hands with those who have more melanin.
To all people around the world, it is an imperative for us to stop looking with our eyes and follow the teachings of Martin Luther King who once noted that we must judge each other based on our character instead of valuing our worth based on the colors of our skin. More importantly, let us stop judging all together and lead with compassion instead. Many prophets and teachers have come before us imploring us to love our neighbors like we love ourselves and to stop letting our egos get the better of us.
It is time that we stop idolizing these messengers who were crucified by Pharisees and instead live their creeds. How many times are we going to stand pat as we watch prophets of peace and angels with melodies of unity be crucified by the very dark souls who oppress all of us? When are we going to rise up instead of sitting on our asses only to end up catching the fires as we stew in inertia? When you get a minute, watch this video below, one that rejects race and embraces our connective humanity, and breath in the liberation song that I’m signing from hilltops and rooftops.
We have a few weeks, at most a few months, before an agenda meant to annihilate most of us will be implemented and lead to our dissolution. We must act promptly or else we will be dealt with accordingly. If we value our freedoms and the breaths we have in our lungs, and more importantly if we care at all about the future that we will pass on to our children, we have to find the resolve to stop being tribal and believe in oneness. E pluribus unum has it wrong, in reality we are unum e pluribus, as in we are many who come from one. Let us return to one or else we will be made one through tribulation. May we one day see with our hearts instead of seeing with our eyes, when that day arrives, we will realize our true potential and those who step on our necks will feel the fear of God as they witness our true powers:: #RebelSong Click To Tweet
