You know that you are making inroads as an independent journalist and a non-aligned observer when corporate swine who pretend to be reporters walk away from their troughs to throw rocks at you on social media. This is precisely what happened yesterday evening when Sarah Jones—a writer for the Intelligencer (an offshoot of the New York Magazine)—reared her head in my direction and decided to unleash snark my way.
The source of her pique was a thread that I tweeted where I noted that Fred Hampton, one of the pillars of the Black Panther Party and the founder of the Rainbow Coalition, joined forces with the Young Patriots Organization (YPO) in the 1960’s. In that tweet, I highlighted that the YPO were “white” supremacists who flew the confederate flag in order to form a united front against their common oppressors.
The main thrust of the tweet was not even about the YPO; I was trying to draw attention to campaign we launched on January 20th called #WildcatStrikeUSA2021 that was inspired by Fred Hampton’s vision and tries to continue the legacy of Martin Luther King’s “poor people campaign” by advocating for a national workers’ wildcat strike. Sarah did not come at me because I got a historical fact wrong, it’s because I am bringing up the ghosts of the pasts and agitating like Hampton, Malcolm, Martin and icons of the 60’s to bridge the divides and to come together to protect our collective interests that she got her britches in a bunch.
Now I will admit, the tweet could have been worded better. The YPO, though they drew marginalized “white” southerners and had supremacists within their ranks, were more “white” nationalist at their inception. It was only after they joined hands with Fred Hampton and became a part of the Rainbow Coalition that they disavowed the Confederate Flag and repudiated “white” nationalism and embraced “cultural nationalism”.
“Eventually, Young Patriots rejected their deeply embedded ideas of white supremacy—and even the Confederate flag—as they realized how much they had in common with the Black Panthers and Latino Young Lords.” [source The Conversation]
Fred Hampton’s vision worked; by uniting on a common cause, even those groups who have extremist ideologies like the YPO can moderate their posture and work towards a collective goal. It was this development—the potential for a “black”/”white” and a left/right alliance—that provoked the wrath of the US government and led to Fred Hampton’s extralegal assassination at the hands of the Cook County Police Department who acted at the behest of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. COINTELPRO snuffed the life of yet another Civil Rights lion; our government exterminated anyone who tried to coalesce poor people under one umbrella.
What COINTELPRO did in the 1960’s with brute force has been replaced with the velvet bullets deployed by the black Boulet and the white intelligentsia in our time. They call themselves journalists and pundits but in reality these are paid assassins of truth-seekers and abortionists of free-thought who unleash their fury the minute they sense someone who is not on the corporate dole like they are threatens to shine a light on their hustles. Just like dimwitted Malcolm X, the minute they point their finger and unfurl a tweet, a thousand dolts come barking behind them.
Anyone calling this dipshit a leader or listening to this pendejo for clarity, god bless you 😭 lmao this m’fer got no common sense.

This is literally what occurred last evening when Sarah Jones displayed her latent racism and impugned my intelligence. This is what “white” women like Sarah—Biden apologists and Democrat water carriers—do when they see someone who is “black” stand up for himself/herself instead of being a docile servant in need of their “help”. Instead of debating the point and pointing out what I got wrong, she simply tweeted “I’m begging you to read a book”. It was a tweet similar to Donald Trump’s in tone and haughtiness; Sarah was inferring that she is well-read and I was a simpleton because I dared to have a divergent thought.
Here is one thing that I know to be an absolute truth: the visible racism of the “right” has NOTHING on the veiled bigotry of the “left”. Sarah Jones pretends to be “progressive” on the New York Magazine and touts her liberal credentials at the Intelligencer but the minute she sees a “black” man think for himself, her inner prejudice comes rushing out like Mike Singletary chasing down a quarterback. I’m not the first person Sarah attacked nor will I be the last; she is part of the gestapo “left” who are hell-bent on silencing dissent and crushing anyone who deviates from their neoliberal orthodoxy.
At the end of the day, liberal-left media figures like @SamSeder, despite the occasional rhetorical edginess, have only one belief & one goal: everyone must fall in line behind the Democratic Party.
The rhetorical edginess is just branding to corral the slightly resistant: https://t.co/jpQfgF1cG9

Well today Sarah ran into the wrong one; I will not be lectured to by a closeted “white” supremacist who pretends to be an ally when in reality she is a token of the establishment. These “white” women gall me; they co-opted the Civil Rights Movement as if their ilk had nothing to do with centuries of slavery, oppression and holocausts committed against people of my complexion and made the fight for equality solely about them. Here is news for you Sarah, blood is on your hand too; it was “white” women like you who slept with “black” men at night only to have them lynched in the morning.
Your lynching parties end today Sarah, take your snark and your ivory tower sneer elsewhere because I see you for exactly who you are. You are the modern day Carolyn Bryant Donham who revels in putting “negros” in their place only to use our backs to climb the ranks. Enjoy your Chablis and caviars for now, a time is coming where your grift will come to an end. And next time you come at me with your snide and seething contempt, be ready to receive twice what you dish out. I know you are not used to this type of treatment @OneSarahJones, but consider me an uppity 'black' man who refuses to be your average 'negro':: #BlueCheckmarkedMarks Click To Tweet
