Asrat Fana is Ethiopia’s tallest man. He is 2.2 meters (7.2 f). He has been living in the United States for twenty years now. He came to the United States through a diversity visa program.
Now 58, and living in Seattle, he nostalgically recounts his time in back in Ethiopia.”There was a time when I lived very comfortably for ten years in Ethiopia without a job, laments Asrat Fana.” His love for Ethiopia resonates through his emotionally laden ,cutting voice. But personally he seem to be doing fine. He he says he is happy with where he is and about life.
Implicit in his message about loving one another is distaste to the current deepening division along ethnic lines which is given constitutional basis and administrative structure under the current Tigray People’s Liberation Front.
