I am not sure when it happened but the establishment adapted when it came to the way they weaponize race as a wedge issue. For most of America’s history, it was “black” people—specifically “black” men—who were demonized and used as bogeymen by those in power to emotionally manipulate the “white” masses. Politicians, pundits and opinion leaders alike reverted to their latent racism by projecting imagery of the “black” menace in order to perpetually rupture society and keep “white” people subsumed in fear and hatred for the “other side”
Richard Nixon famously turned to the “Southern Strategy” to peel away disaffected “white” Democrats once the party of Jefferson, Jackson and FDR was seen as being too cozy with the “black” cause after they fought against segregation. By the time LBJ initiated the “war on poverty” and started implementing programs under the guise of “the Great Society”, Republicans made a strategic decision to undermine Democrats by presenting them anti-American and anti-white radicals. Never mind that Lyndon Baines Johnson was a rabid racist who was intent on destroying the “black” family, the GOP pounced once they realized that they could gain power by playing on “white” people’s trepidations.
Nixon won in a landslide with a bigoted playbook that was dependent on casting “black” people as a threat and “white” people as victims of the liberal agenda. Reagan followed in Nixon’s playbook in 1980 by depicting “black” mothers as “welfare queens” and characterizing minorities as invading hoards chomping at the bits to dispossess “white” people of their belongings. Republicans since the 1980’s have thrived by returning to this racist and contemptable scheme of race-baiting as they use dog whistles to stoke “white” anxiety and reap votes through a mix of nativism and jingoism.
Suddenly, the zeitgeist shifted in 2016 after Trump turned to the blueprint laid out by Nixon to gain power. However, this time Trump’s racist gambit created a blowback; the liberal class saw a perfect opportunity to leverage black suffering and minority pains as a means of advancing their neoliberal agenda and shattering America into fragments of separable identities once Trump started courting the “white” vote. In all honesty, Democrats and their liberal enablers in media have been using “black” people as stepping stools way before Trump, but 2016 became transformational moment that delivered a sea change in American politics.
All the sudden, “white supremacy” became the new threat to national security and a way to keep society perpetually partitioned. The de jure segregation of the 1950’s—which was sustained by the Democrat party even more so than the Republican party—has been replaced by the de facto apartheid advanced by Biden, Kamala and the neoliberal class in government, media and Hollywood. The “left” maliciously drew on the anxieties of their base by besmirching anyone who advocated for “white” people as racist extremists and seditious supremacists who are trying to lead an insurrection.
What Biden and his henchmen are attempting to do is manufacture social strife in order to create a pretext for government impositions. Trump was a part of this agenda all along; his buffoonery and courting of the disaffected “white” vote was needed in order to paint Republicans as dangerous chauvinists who are intent on “making America great” by restoring the era of Jim Crow. Trump played his part perfectly; he wasted a golden opportunity to unite “white” and “black”, “left” and “right” by exposing the fraudulence of the status quo and drawing to a close the era of permanent wars. Sadly, he decided to focus on his ego above his patriotic duties to fully and finally expose the “deep state”.
Far from bringing light upon DC and draining the swamp of our nation’s capital, Trump enveloped globalists with yet more darkness and filled the marsh in Washington with more water and alligators. In the process, he furthered the malicious narratives being spun by the likes of CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post and their ilk in mainstream media, every time Trump gave a nod to the Proud Boys or alluded to the plight of the “white” workers in Ohio, Tennessee and beyond, Democrats pounced to portray his rhetoric as racism run amok.
Four years after Trump took the oath in front of a majority “white” audience in front of the US Capitol, he left the White House with the same Capitol breached and his supporters “invading” the people’s house demanding the cancelation of the 2020 election. This act of rebellion became the crystalizing moment that Biden needed to go after “white supremacists” and restore order by focusing on “law and order”. Within short order, Biden and the Democrats in Congress will pass draconian laws that will severely curb the First and Second Amendments in the name of security.
Racism is a byproduct of capitalism, which is the competition for resources against another rather than building that collective. It’s important to push conversations, to push understanding, to build empathy. The Classist intellectualism against many doesn’t help, it hinders. pic.twitter.com/5uSIRjWsn5

Mainstream and social media will follow suit by dropping the hammer on “white” groups that advocate for self-preservation. Anyone who dares to use the Confederate flag will be deemed a threat, their voices will be muffled and their platforms will be revoked. There to cheer on this Orwellian decrees will be “progressives” and people on the “left” who will trip over themselves supporting Biden’s iron fist not realizing what is in the offing. The very same justifications used to silence “white supremacists” will be wielded to marginalize “people of color” and eradicate the rights of all Americans.
What is coming next has nothing to do with ensuring public safety, the measures that will be enacted—national lockdowns, curbing gun rights and gashing civil liberties—has everything to do with establishing new norms. Covid-19 will be used as a rational to either explicitly or implicitly force people to take poisonous vaccines or else face ostracization. We are witnessing fascism being born right before our eyes; fathered by the duplicity of Trump, despotism is currently incubating in the womb of Biden’s administration and will be delivered soon by the apathy of the general public and the malice of the ruling class.
I’m reminded of the poem by Martin Niemöller, who wrote the following words during the rise of the Nazis in Germany as Hitler was leveraging public anxieties and hopelessness to give rise to a new day of totalitarianism:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
We never learn but we are about to get a severe education in short order. We will realize what Germans understood once Berlin was in shambles and their cities were left in smoldering ashes; demonizing one side eventually ends with the destruction of all. Politicians who gain power through division will never heal nations; their job is to keep the working class at each other’s throats. As long as we are bickering with each other and fighting for crumbs, we can never come together to defend our collective rights.
As I wrote about in a poem titled “History’s Malevolence” that I penned while I was homeless in Colorado and living with dozens of fellow homeless “white” people, the continued attempts to fracture the races is the same thing that took place during the Civil War. Back then, poor “whites”, most of whom were destitute and working for pittance, were deceived into fighting to defend a system that was ravaging them to a lesser degree that it was ravaging African-Americans.
One “free” to live in poverty, the other chained and slaving away for free, both were united in suffering but divided by skin color. The Civil War never ended, it just took on a new concept where bondage is the new slavery and capitalism, politicians are the overseers and capitalism is the new slave master pillaging the entire planet. As long as we keep focusing on our differences, the more we will keep getting ground into dust and eating dirt for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The only way to overcome this insidious ploy to keep “black” and “white” people apart and to foment antipathy against the “other side” is to unite. This is a lesson that Fred Hampton learned as he reached across the divides in the 1960’s and worked with the Young Patriots Organization in order to create a united front against the ruling class. For his visionary aims, Fred Hampton was assassinated by the US government as COINTELPRO was unleashed to decimate leaders who spoke of solidarity that spans the racial chasms and agitates for collective justice.
As much as the establishment in government and in the press—and their useful super spreaders who metastasize on social media like cancer—try to instill fear in us about the Boogaloo Bois, the Proud Boys, the 3 Percenters, Oath Keepers and a litany of “right wing” bogeyman, just know that they are not our enemies. Listen to the interview above on Dore’s show, does Magnus Panvidya sound like he is out to get you? Do not let the debased, I refuse to call them elites, hoodwink you; the battle is not left vs right, it’s up vs down. The battle is not about black vs white, it’s about those with green versus the rest of us who keep bleeding red. We have one of two choices: unite or perish.
We turn to the spirit of Fred Hampton as we announced the launch of #WildcatStrikeUSA2021 in order to bridge the divides and create a united front of workers that overcomes race, gender, religious and ideological differences. Joseph Mengele Biden has already announced his plan to drop the hammer on our rights; first they will come for “white supremacists”, then they will come for the rest of us. We better wake up, rise up and unite with workers of all shades and ideas or else we will be made even before soup kitchens and vaccination camps:: #RaceShatters Click To Tweet
“No government fights fascism to destroy it. When the bourgeoisie sees that power is slipping out of its hands, it brings up fascism to hold onto their privileges.” ~ Buenaventura Durruti
Correction: in a tweet that has since gone viral, I noted that the Young Patriots Organization was a white supremacist group. These were poor choices of words; what I was alluding to is how they would be viewed in today’s climate not necessarily who or what they were back then. Whether a mistake is one of omission or commission, it is important to own up to it nonetheless. I apologize for that tweet; I will not delete it, I will let it stand as a testament that mistakes, once owned, can lead to bigger conversations.
