The Race Bamboozle: a Devastating and a Much Needed Rebuke of Critical Race Theory and Black Lives Matter

Let me state from the outset that I fully acknowledge the existence of racism and understand full well that melanated people are placed at a social disadvantage for committing the sin of being born with a browner complexion. I am not about to echo Candace Owens and other black conservatives by denying the structural nature of racial prejudice that has seeped into the fabric of not only America but most countries throughout the world. In that sense, there is some merit to the positions staked out by Critical Race Theory and Black Lives Matter proponents.

Where I part with CRT and BLM is when they take these evident truths about our country and weaponize them to collectively judge “others”, monopolize pains, arrogantly lecture people and silence anyone who disagrees with them. Forgetting the lessons of Martin Luther King—who wisely noted that hate cannot be driven out with hate—advocates of CRT and BLM insist on being divisive instead of forging common grounds with other marginalized communities the way Fred Hampton did in the 1960s.

This critique is not aimed at everyday people who support Critical Race Theory or Black Lives Matter, my harsh rebuke is reserved only for those who enjoy mass followings and being paid and promoted by the establishment to incite emotions, antagonize “white” people and fracture society into the ghettoes of manufactured labels and meaningless dogmas. Far from leading conversations that are meant to heal the festering wounds of racism, black opinion leaders are funded and propagated to rip old scars open and keep America marooned in the wasteland of identity politics.

We have to understand the vendors of CRT and BLM like Ibram X. Kendi, Ta-Nehisi Coates and Jemele Hill for who and what they are. They are not revolutionary thinkers who are determined to help their people, they are opportunists who leverage the suffering of African-Americans to line their pockets with the money of the very same “white” supremacists they pretend to rail against. The government-media-corporate complex rewards demagogues who filter social ills through the prism of identity and ideologies in order to prevent a grass-roots movement that is determined in transcending America’s caste system of race that was constructed by malicious racists.

Black Lives Matter was funded by George Soros, he gave the organization over $200,000,000 and the founders Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi found a lucrative hustle using the pains of “black” people as launching pads to riches and fame. Do you really think “white” billionaires like Soros, Gates or Buffett really care about “black” people? Of course not! If you don’t know who Soros is, he is the same ghoul who keeps funding color-based “revolutions” from Ukraine, Georgia, Myanmar, Philipines and beyond. Every country Soros touches devolves into strife as people turn on each other and society becomes destabilized. The same way European imperialists colonized Africa by fostering ethnocentrism in one country after another, Soros is unleashing tribalism in Western nations.

What Soros did for former USSR countries where he fomented dissension by turning brother against brother and pitting neighbors against one another, he is doing right here in America. Whereas the tribes are based on ethnic groups, in America the tribes are “black” vs “white”, “left” vs “right”, straight vs gay, men vs women, religious vs atheists and the endless number of labels that are imposed on us from the minute we are born. The way to keep people perpetually oppressed is to divide them and then let them defeat themselves, this is what Critical Race Theory and Black Lives Matter are all about.

Think about it for a minute, if Black Lives Matter was truly beneficial for us and their objective was actually about overturning the status quo, do you think Twitter would give the “movement” its own emoji? Do you think mainstream media would actually cover the topic and do you really believe that Democrats would embrace it? As Gil Scott-Heron sang, the revolution will never be televised. The only reason Soros is so heavily invested in Black Lives Matter and why the politicians, pundits and well-paid influencers glom on to it is because their business models are predicated on sowing discord. They are not helping “black” people, they are turning us into political wedge issues in order to create a de facto state of racial apartheid.

Critical Race Theory takes the baton from BLM and goes one step further in terms of deploying Machiavellian tactics to splinter communities into opposing factions. As I noted earlier, collective judgment is immoral; all “white” people are not responsible for the sins of the past. Contrary to these race bamboozlers talking points, the vast majority of “white” people in the 19th and 20th-century were dirt poor and struggling to make it. The evil that was slavery was not designed and perpetuated by “white” people in toto but formulated by a minority of “white” people who made vast fortunes by turning humans into chattel. If we are going to castigate all “white” people for the sins of slavery, are we willing to accept blame for the genocide that Bush committed in Iraq because we did not forcefully speak against the propaganda that led us into a catastrophic war?

There is a reason why I draw a line between supporters of Critical Race Theory and Black Lives Matter and grifters like Garza, Cullors Tometi and neo-coon opinion leaders like Kendi and Coate. Whereas the latter is actively disempowering their community by infecting their souls with victimization and bitterness, the former are turning to antipathy out of frustration and hopelessness. After all, I too used to once demonize all “white” people as I blamed them for all the evils in the world and used to bash Republican voters until a two-year stint of homelessness shed the scales of tribalism off my eyes and gave me the wisdom to understand that pain and suffering are not limited by skin color, gender, orientation or belief systems.

When people feel like their country is not working against them and become exasperated by a lack of political and social representation, they naturally turn to demagogues. This was true of Trump’s supporters who rightly sensed that their government was enacting laws that were impoverishing them while enriching globalists and it’s definitely true of African-Americans who have been marginalized in the United States long before the Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson. It’s because I’m sympathetic to the sense of desperation many feel that I do not malign people who fall for the bamboozle of race hustlers.

Moreover, as a first-generation Ethiopian immigrant, I have to tread very carefully when it comes to speaking for African-Americans. Even though I have tasted first-hand the bitter fruits of racism, I will never be able to understand the full scope of the horrors and pains that have been passed down from one generation to the next within the African-American community. Thus I am writing this article not to admonish people for buying into the divisive and counterproductive rhetoric that is being pushed by black bourgeois con-artists at the behest of their plutocratic masters but to offer a better path that actually has a chance of leading to inclusive justice and healing for all of us.

The better path I’m referring to is one that was espoused by the previously mentioned Fred Hampton, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King. All three pursued inclusive justice before they were all gunned down by forces who were hell-bent on preventing unity and were resolute in keeping “black” people mired in poverty. Compare Fred Hampton’s Black Panther Party to the empty calories offered by Coates and Kendi and you will realize the difference between bridge builders and community destroyers. The BPP did not wait around begging for others to acknowledge them, they did not ask for handouts nor did they stay stuck in victim mode.

To the contrary, they organized locally and sacrificed tremendously to build up the communities where they live. The Black Panther Party started soup kitchens, built schools and offered free clinics as they worked assiduously to empower their community. Meanwhile, Black Lives Matter funnel contributions to the Democrat party by way of front companies like “Act Blue” as they treat the “black” people they supposedly speak for as stepping stools. While they encouraged their supporters to “get confrontational”, BLM leaders like Cullors are sipping Chablis in their million-dollar gated mansions.

This weekend, I traveled to New York to visit family. As my wife, son and I were walking up to my sister-in-law’s apartment in Harlem, we ran into a block party where there was a cookout, music and a moonbounce. I stopped by the DJ booth and talked to one of the organizers by the name of DJ M-Fresh and asked him what the event was all about. He explained that he and a couple of his neighbors get together annually and organize “Gone But Not Forgotten” block parties to honor people in the neighborhood who passed away. I talked to DJ M-Fresh’s mom, who was a fellow organizer, and she noted that the neighborhood always comes together to support each other during times of grief and times of celebration.

We live in an age where all levers of power have been commandeered by global aristocrats and turned against the people. Instead of giving us the tools to empower ourselves, our government is crippling us with fiscal and monetary policies only for mainstream media to step in and manipulate us to fight others who are likewise being broken. If we truly are going to liberate ourselves from a system that bleeds humanity to nourish oligarchs, it will only happen when we follow the lead of Fred Hampton and community empowerers like DJ M-Fresh who honor his legacy. If we choose to follow in the footsteps of race entrepreneurs and choose victimization over self-empowerment, we will never break the cycle of poverty and hopelessness that have denied generations of African-Americans the ability to reach their full potential.

I have mentioned Fred Hampton copious times throughout this article because he deserves every bit of praise I can muster. At the young age of 21, he figured out what many political activists three times his age cannot comprehend. As he fiercely spoke against racism, he reached out to disaffected “white” people in order to form a coalition that would be unstoppable. There is a picture of Fred Hampton sitting down with a “white pride” group called Young Patriots Organization with the Black Panther Party on one side and a confederate flag on the other. While we are being conditioned to fight over old statues and symbols, Hampton was busy changing the paradigm.

They killed prophets like Hampton, Malcolm and King and gave us craven pawns who are more actors than they are activists. Do you think Malcolm would have sipped champagne in the middle of Brooklyn to celebrate racist Biden’s election? Do you think King would have said nothing as America continues to bomb nations that never attacked us? Do you think Hampton would have cut a public service announcements encouraging “black” people to partake in the second coming of the Tuskegee experiments? The answer to all those questions is a resounding no; which is why they were taken out and why step-and-fetch it minstrel shows like Joy-Ann Reid make millions of dollars and are prime-time TV shows.

As much as the ruling class gaslights us into thinking that our pains are only felt by us, the truth is that the injustices most of us care about are interconnected. At this exact moment, a “black” child in Chicago is being startled by gunshots outside her window while a “white” child in the Appalachians is going to sleep with an empty stomach. The key to freedom is not through separatism but through solidarity. The establishment have been stoking resentments and fomenting strife for centuries, it is high time that we stop falling for their hoodwink and instead unite with others who are likewise being pillaged by the global aristocracy before we finally find equality in homelessness and mass poverty.
