There was a time where I was forgiving. Alas, the more I observe, the more iniquities I take in manufactured by the filthiest 1%, the more I come to this realization: these motherfuckers must burn. Like Thoreau, I believe in redemption within reason; I believe in my heart that everyone can be absolved of their sins and live a life going forward free of guilt.
Except I keep returning to Isaiah 11:6 where it states the following prophecy:
“The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat; the calf and young lion and fatling will be together, and a little child will lead them. “
You know who the snakes are and why they will not be forgiven? It’s not because they did not ask and were denied absolution, it’s because their pride is too big which led them to rebuff forgiveness. So here we are at this moment of inflection. One one side is Biden, Merkel and the New World Order and on the other side is us, the commoners who Jesus said we would accomplish greater feats than He achieved while he was walking on earth.
Now let me return to the title of this article; in it I mention Thoreau and an explosive quote about “giving body to the dogs“. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I’m advocating violence but I’m also not a pacifist. What I am is a human who believes in self-defense and above all faith that everything will work out according to His accordance.
Nonetheless, I find Thoreau’s quote both awesome and awe inspiring for one reason. He is pushing back against the idea of idolizing the rich and powerful who are all stepping on our collective necks. Let me point to an excerpt from “Walden Pond” to prove this point:
“As for the Pyramids, there is nothing to wonder at in them so much as the fact that so many men could be found degraded enough to spend their lives constructing a tomb for some ambitious booby, whom it would have been wiser and manlier to have drowned in the Nile, and then given his body to the dogs.”
Again, I am not trying to be a Debbie Downer on this beautiful Friday evening where we survived another week of the Covid-19 manufactured crisis—I just want to celebrate the small victories like taking our next breath. Here is a shout out to my neighbor Tizita, which means memory, and her husband who are raising amazing children.
Let me wrap it up with this. My fellow Ethiopians and Eritreans—actually human beings the world over—whatever you do, do not take the Covid-19 vaccine! There is a parable about God sending messengers to warn His people over and over again yet His people keep ignoring his prophets. Well this might be your final warning. DO NOT TAKE THE VACCINE OR YOU WILL DIE AND YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE ORPHANS!
“Never complain of that of which it is at all times within your power to rid.” ~ Adam Smith
