Milestone 38: Ghion Studio

This is the new “Ghion Cast” studio. From humble beginnings audacious dreams grow. Thanks to the continued kindness and support of our readers and viewers, we are slowly adding capacity and enhancing our capabilities at the Ghion Journal. We are a website that is driven by and empowered through the people. We don’t take corporate contribution because we believe in change taking place from the bottom. Besides, how can we speak against corporate media if we cast our lot with them?

So we ask our readers and audience to chip in as they are able and contribute to the Ghion Journal. You can contribute by clicking on the donate button at the top of the Ghion Journal or by going to our Patreon page which you can reach by clicking on the picture below at the bottom of this article. You can either make a one time contribution or by donating through either platform, you can make a recurring donation of any amount you are able. It had been the continued support of our readers that has enabled the Ghion Journal to remain a going concern, continue speaking out against the conformist narratives of corporate media and to share stories that speaks about our connective struggles and connected hope.

I thank every one who has contributed to the Ghion Journal in the past and going into the future. I’ve come a long way on this, there was a time I hated the idea of monetizing my writing and likewise monetizing the Ghion Journal. But conversations that I’ve had with people I trust and admire has convinced me that there is a need for what we are presenting and the only way to ensure our continued operation is through the support of the very people we are speaking for since we refuse to take the money of the “status quo”. Take a note of the picture above, bit by bit, we will upgrade that room and you will see our journey with each new Ghion Cast broadcast that we air.Let me add one last thing. I also want to equally thank the endless number of people who have gone out of their way to tell their friends, families and network of people about what they are finding at the Ghion Journal. I put my faith in people for a reason, I knew that once more and more read what they are reading here, that the people would carry the day and market our messages and ideas. The masses have done just that, this is why a website with little in terms of resources and money has been piercing the echo chamber of corporate media. People united can take on corporate monopolies. I thank each and every one of you for continuing to be a part of our journey.

“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.” ~ Langston Hughes

Teodrose Fikre

Founder at Ghion Journal
Teodrose Fikre is the editor and founder of the Ghion Journal. A published author and prolific writer, a once defense consultant was profoundly changed by a two year journey of hardship and struggle. Going from a life of upper-middle class privilege to a time spent with the huddled masses taught Teodrose a valuable lesson in the essence of togetherness and the need to speak against injustice.

Originally from Ethiopia with roots to Atse Tewodros II, Teodrose is a former community organizer whose writing was incorporated into Barack Obama's South Carolina primary victory speech in 2008. He pivoted away from politics and decided to stand for collective justice after experiencing the reality of the forgotten masses. His writing defies conventional wisdom and challenges readers to look outside the constraints of labels and ideologies that serve to splinter the people. Teodrose uses his pen to give a voice to the voiceless and to speak truth to power.
